Nutrition and Health

NUTRITION

The Setting will have a weekly menu, which will be displayed on the parent notice board. These menus are well balanced and are packed with the nutrition that your child needs. We also have a vegetarian option every day.

All the children's' special dietary needs are met and food is freshly prepared every day on premises. We do not give the children products that contain nuts, coconut products but please do understand that some products purchased may contain traces of nuts.

CHILDREN and MEDICATION

If a doctor has prescribed your child medication, they will not be able to attend the setting for the first 48 hours. This is due to any reactions your child may have towards the medication. The medication must be handed over to a member of staff, and explanation must be given as to what the medication is for. Parents must complete a medication consent form, giving instructions on dosage, and time when the medication must be administered.

CHICKEN POX

Children will not be admitted into the setting with infectious conditions e.g. Chickenpox, hand, foot and mouth etc. Also if a child is taken ill while at the setting you will be contacted and asked to collect your child straight away. If your child develops a temperature at the setting, you will be contacted and permission asked to administer Calpol, again you will be asked to collect your child if their temperature does not come down.
